Abandoned Hearts of Oak Stone Schoolhouse in Saskatchewan

The Hearts of Oak stone schoolhouse is located in southeastern Saskatchewan. It is a small one-room schoolhouse built with fieldstone. It was founded in 1907 and used until its closing in 1957. It was never converted but instead left as a reminder of our history. Today it sits empty on the original school property with a stone and marker.

For more information on the history and the current attempt to restore this old building, we recommend you read our friend Glen Bowe’s blog article on the subject: Hearts Of Oak School Blog
