Abandoned Stone Parker House in Saskatchewan

This unique stone house was built in southern Saskatchewan! Built by two brothers in 1919 who had very different styles and ideas. The house was a craftsman-style design. The exterior walls are quite unique. One brother built two of the four exterior walls. The walls he built were precise and organized while his brother, who built the remaining two walls, used rough stones. All stones were fieldstones collected from the area.

We have visited this building many times over the last decade+ and not much has changed. Today all the windows are smashed and the supports holding up the front porch have given way. There are signs of vandalism but that is to be excepted with online exposure. In 2021, we rushed out to the house on a cool winter’s day with fog-covered roads and thick frost on the trees to capture it with the drone.
