The white bear school was built in 1928 and was used until 1974. It was part of school division #4773. There is evidence that the school was repurposed and used by the community. Today it sits abandoned, vandalized, and left to the elements.
We explored the school many years ago and when we arrived nature was taking the school back with the floors being covered with moss. Many of the windows were smashed, chalkboards removed and we found a mummified cat, the first we had seen. This school had a nice view of the old grain elevator and had multiple classrooms and served the community of white bear, Saskatchewan.
