We were exploring the backroads on a road that dead-ended in this farmyard. The yard was completely abandoned with a farmhouse, barn, and outbuildings. The farmhouse was a good size with two floors, a full basement, and a large porch. The inside still had many personal items and the basement had old crates, canned food, and even a fire extinguisher globe. The house had beautifully painted bedrooms, window coverings, and the odd accessory remained in some rooms. The upstairs kitchen had many items remaining including a mallet with the words "wife tamer" etched on it - hence the name.
