Shand Creek Anglican church also known as the Red Cross Outpost was built in 1924 and holds municipal heritage status. It's a small log building that has an association with activities of the Red Cross and Anglican churches in the community. The property it lies on was part of the first Red Cross missions. An outpost was built on the site in 1921 and this Anglican church was built on the same property in 1924. The Red Cross outpost was abandoned in 1948 and demolished. The church continues to be used today for occasional services and is the oldest one in the rural municipality.
This church is built with hand-hewn logs chinked with mud which was later replaced with concrete. It's a one-story building with a pitched roof, wood shingles, and symmetrical side windows. This building has become a landmark in the area and is well cared for.
